No Hassle Cleaning Hacks for People Who Hate to Clean

Not everyone is a neat-n-tidy sort of person. That’s ok but some things have to be done to keep a home clean and peaceful. It would be great if every room could clean itself and kids were naturally motivated to pick up after themselves, wouldn’t it? Since that’s not usually the case, it helps to have some cleaning hacks that make life easier.

Try these no hassle cleaning hacks…even when you hate to clean

Automate your cleaning whenever possible- Many tasks can be automated making cleaning easier than ever. From purchasing a robot vacuum to using an automatic shower cleaner, you can clean with the push of a button. Also, self-cleaning ovens take the hassle out of cleaning a grimy oven and most dishwashers have timers so you can have clean dishes any time day or night.

Use the basket method to shuttle belongings around– Baskets are a great way to organize items that need to be relocated to their proper places. If you have a two-story home, consider placing a basket at the foot of the stairs. Accumulate items that go upstairs and take the entire basket when it’s full. You can also use a basket to corral loose items like keys and other items you routinely need as you come in and out of your home. You can also assign a basket to family members and toss their items into the basket and have them take their basket to their room each evening to be cleared out.

Store cleaning supplies in the bathroom– Most people store their cleaning supplies in one area of the home. That means they have to be very intentional about cleaning the bathroom. Instead, store everything you need to clean your bathroom in a cupboard that’s in the bathroom. Having everything you need nearby can make wiping the mirror easy or freshening up the toilet effortless because you don’t have to hunt down all the supplies you need. When you notice the bathroom needs to be tidied, it’s an easy fix to grab the right cleaner and tackle the problem.

Put a garbage can in the garage- If you park in your garage, put a trash bin in an easy to reach location. Make a habit of cleaning out trash and debris each time you park to keep your car effortlessly clean. If you don’t park in the garage, keep recycled plastic grocery bags inside your car and do a clean sweep for trash before you exit the car and throw it away.

Clean more often to do less cleaning It might seem crazy, but cleaning more often actually makes cleaning less of a chore. The more often you clean, the less you have to do which is great for people who don’t like to clean. Having a good cleaning schedule can help you stay on top of tasks and make cleaning less of an impact on your daily or weekly schedule.
