Wrap Up and Where Do We Go from Here?

This month has been filled with thirty unique opportunities to dig deeper into end-of-life planning and making important decisions for your legacy. From creating legal documents that protect and preserve your estate to deep-dives into best practices for supporting loved ones facing end-of-life matters, there’s been a lot going on in this challenge.

The goal of this challenge has been to:

  • Reduce the fear surrounding end-of-life planning
  • Educate the need for a will and/or trust
  • Provide information regarding DNR and Advance Directives
  • Encourage conversations about end-of-life planning with loved ones
  • And more

On day 8, we looked at what an estate is and how you can best protect it. On day 15, we took a deep dive into insurance options that can offset medical costs and provide income after you retire and on day 28, we tackled the tough topic of connecting with loved ones and making sure nothing is left unsaid.

End-of-life needs are an important and mature topic. It takes bravery and tenacity to delve into the subject and stick with it until the bases are covered. It is worth the effort and will make a huge difference in your quality of life and the impact your end-of-life experience has on your family. Good for you for sticking with it!

My goal is to support you and this tribe as we wind down the challenge. Be sure to connect in the Facebook group and share the impact this challenge has had on you and the steps you are taking to prepare for your legal, financial, and medical needs for now and the future.

I am always looking to add to the treasure chest of information. If you have any new resources or information to share, let’s connect! We all benefit from new and helpful information.

It’s important to keep your momentum after this challenge is complete. Be sure to go through the articles again so you can remind yourself what steps you want to take and what resources you may need to complete a task.

Be sure to take these key steps:

  1. Connect with your primary care physician to discuss your DNR and Advance Directive
  2. Connect with a financial planner and insurance agent to explore additional sources of protection and saving for your retirement
  3. Connect with an attorney to craft a will or trust

These are the top three tasks that will help you get ready and be ready for the final phase of life.

Thanks for joining me on this challenge and I look forward to seeing you again for the next one!
